GitLab is hiring a Python backend engineer for the Agent Foundations group in AI Engineering. The team builds the Duo Agent Platform that runs AI agent flows.
- Build features in the Duo Workflow Service and AI Gateway
- Create agent flows and reusable parts with LangChain and LangGraph
- Design GraphQL and REST APIs for clients such as IDE extensions
- Write tests, including evaluations of agent behavior
Requirements
- Solid Python backend experience
- Interest in AI agents and orchestration tools
- Ability to work remotely with a global team
This is a remote full time position at mid level level, based in Remote, Canada; Poland; United Kingdom.
Day to day work includes writing production code, reviewing model results and working with product teams on releases.
