This senior backend role is on the AI Engineering team for GitLab Duo Chat. The work spans the Python workflow service and the Rails application.
- Build agent flow components in the Flow Registry
- Add new models, providers and tools to Duo Chat
- Design APIs and handle permissions for chat entry points
- Keep client contracts reliable and clear
Requirements
- Strong backend experience in Python, Ruby is helpful
- Familiarity with generative AI integrations
- Experience with APIs and secure services
This is a remote full time position at senior level, based in Remote, United Kingdom.
Day to day work includes writing production code, reviewing model results and working with product teams on releases.
