Airbnb needs a senior machine learning engineer on the search relevance and personalization team. The focus is query intelligence, meaning how the system reads what a guest types, taps or says.
- Improve autocomplete, query tagging and query expansion
- Model user intent across stays, experiences and services
- Train and deploy ranking and language models for the search pipeline
- Run offline and online experiments to measure impact
Requirements
- Experience building ML systems for search or recommendation
- Solid Python and modeling skills
- Comfort working with large datasets and A/B tests
This is a remote full time position at senior level, based in United States.
Day to day work includes writing production code, reviewing model results and working with product teams on releases.
