Databricks is hiring a staff machine learning engineer for the Applied AI team behind Databricks Assistant and AI/BI Genie. The work improves the quality of generative AI features across the product.
- Set direction for applied AI areas and product intelligence features
- Develop data collection, fine-tuning and LLM techniques for target tasks
- Build pipelines for training, tuning and evaluation
- Work with researchers and product teams to ship changes
Requirements
- Significant experience with machine learning and language models
- Ability to lead technical projects
- Strong software engineering skills
This is a hybrid full time position at lead level, based in San Francisco, CA.
Day to day work includes writing production code, reviewing model results and working with product teams on releases.
