Domino's Pizza is an American pizza company headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Tom Monaghan and his brother bought a small pizza shop in Ypsilanti, Michigan, in 1960 and built it into a chain.
The menu includes pizzas, breadsticks, chicken wings, pasta and desserts. Most orders are made for delivery or pickup rather than dining in. The company was early in taking orders online and through mobile apps.
Nearly all stores are run by franchisees, and Domino's earns income from royalties and from supplying dough and ingredients. It has thousands of locations in more than 90 countries. Master franchise firms run the brand in many markets abroad. Its Pizza Tracker, introduced in 2008, shows the order status. The company has tested delivery by drone and by self-driving vehicles. In the United Kingdom and some other markets, the brand is run by independent master franchisees.
