Author Guidelines
Read this before you submit. It is the same checklist our editors use, so following it is the fastest route to being published.
What we publish
Original writing about AI apps, startups, apps, product and the business of building software. The best submissions come from people who did the thing: a decision you made, a problem you hit, numbers you can share, a tool you actually used in anger.
The basics
- Around 700 words or more. Shorter is fine if every line earns its place.
- A featured image you have the rights to. The editor has free stock images built in.
- The right category, and tags that genuinely describe the piece.
- Headings that break up the page, and short paragraphs.
- Links only where they help the reader.
What gets rejected
- Copied or spun content, or AI output submitted as your own writing
- Keyword stuffing and irrelevant tags
- Excessive or unrelated outbound links
- Pieces that are purely an advert. If you want promotion, buy a sponsored post, it is clearly labelled and welcome
- Thin, repetitive padding around one small idea
What happens after you submit
An editor reads it, usually within one to two weeks. You will get an email when it is published, or a rejection listing the reasons so you can fix and resubmit. Rejection is not a ban, most rejected pieces get published after a revision.
Promoting your own company
You can write about your own product if the piece teaches the reader something. If the goal is visibility rather than a lesson, use a sponsored post or a directory listing instead.
Ready when you are, start writing.
