Editorial Policy
This page explains how content gets onto AfterJournal and what readers can expect from it.
Review
Nothing publishes automatically. Every post, business listing and job listing is read by an editor first, against the author guidelines. Comments are held for approval before they appear.
Paid content
Sponsored posts and featured listings are paid placements. They are labelled as such, and they go through the same editorial review as everything else. Paying does not buy a guaranteed yes. Advertising, where it appears, is visually separate from editorial content.
AI-written content
We cover AI closely and we use the tools ourselves. What we do not accept is AI output submitted as original work. Use AI to research, outline or tidy your draft. Do not paste a generated article and put your name on it. We reject work that reads as generated.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made by editors, not advertisers. A commercial relationship does not buy coverage, remove criticism, or change a review.
Corrections
We fix mistakes. If something we published is wrong, tell us. Small fixes such as typos are made quietly. Anything that changes the meaning gets a visible note on the piece.
Removal
We may remove or unpublish content that breaks the guidelines, turns out to be plagiarised, or creates a legal problem. Authors are told why.
